Instagram has begun to fulfill its claim of developing healthy social media habits among its users. Meta-owned photo sharing app Instagram is introducing a feature called ‘Take a Break’ to encourage people to take a break from their platform and do something else.

The app prompts you every 10, 20 or 30 minutes to do something else you like. Participants who took part in the test will be able to see this feature in a few days, Instagram said.

Adam Moseri, the head of Instagram, informed about this feature through Twitter. Posting a video on Twitter, he said that this feature could be released from December. According to Moseri’s post, Instagram users will see an option called ‘Take a break’ on their screen.

You can also choose how much time you want to spend on the app in this feature. Due to this feature, your feed does not freeze. After showing ‘Take a break’ on the screen, the user can scroll further to say ‘Done’. It is said that this feature, which has been requested by the users for a long time, may come from the month of December.
