Microsoft said last Friday that Windows 11, which is coming to the market, will run on as many types of personal computer chips as possible.
The company is preparing to release the next-generation desktop operating system Windows 11 this year.
It is understood that many people and organizations around the world have decided to buy computers from other companies as Windows 11 will not work and the company will have to incur huge losses if this happens.
Windows account for 14 percent of the company’s total business and is the company’s most profitable business.
It is estimated that this decision is aimed at reducing the disgust of Microsoft users.
When the company unveiled Windows 11 last June, it said it would only run on AMD’s Gen 2, Intel’s 8th generation chip and Qualcomm’s 7 and 8 series chips.
The company later said in a blog post that it was testing the AMD Gen1 and Intel’s seventh generation chip. Microsoft posted a new blog last Friday stating that Windows 11 will not support AMD Gen1 but will support the 7th Generation Core X and Xperia Z chips.
It also runs on Intel’s 7th Generation 782 HQ processor and Microsoft’s Surface Studio 2 all-in-one PC.
Intel’s 7th generation processor arrived in 2016 and the 8th generation in 2017. Windows 10, which currently has more than 1 billion active devices worldwide, was launched in 2015.
The company also plans to bring an updated version of an app called PC Health Check, which allows users to decide whether or not to run Windows 11 on their PC and what hardware components to use to make it work.
